I have been married six months and with my partner for a total of a year and four months. He just told me he doesn’t want to have children, a discussion we had before we got married. We made a life plan, and now he is reneging on it. Is this grounds for an annulment? We were married in New York State; I’m American, he’s Spanish. We live in Abu Dhabi. You or your spouse must be a resident of NY state for a year before NY will have jurisdiction over your matter.
If you are living in Abu Dhabi, you may qualify to apply for a divorce or annulment there.
